Thank You Katie and Beau

This weekend Jeff and I had the opportunity to attend a Family Life Weekend to Remember marriage conference that was an early wedding gift from Katie and Beau. I was excited about it and Jeff had mixed emotions as many men do when it comes to that kind of thing. Friday night was great and very funny and Jeff and I were then both excited to be there. On Saturday morning I went to pick up Jeff to go to the conference and when I got there his trunk was not in the parking lot. We thought it had been stolen so he called the police who came out and filed a report. Jeff had left his checkbook in the truck so we then had to go to the bank to cancel his account. We thought his trunk was long gone at this point. What a scary feeling! While we were there, Jeff got a phonecall that they had found his trunk and that it had been impounded because it had been double parked!! Oh my gosh what a relief that was. Needless to say we missed the morning of the conference but were able to attend the afternoon and the next day. I think Jeff and I got a great picture of what God has designed us to be as husband and wife. It was great preparation for our future together. I really appreciate the gift from Katie and Beau. Even more so I really appreciate my great fiance for attending and learning. He is truly a wonderful man and I am so blessed to have him in my life.

On to a different note. I wanted to post a picture of my guest room that we just finished painting. I chose a gray color but am going to accent it with red and black. Let me know what you think.

  1. I'm so glad you two had a good time at the marriage conference! You just can't do too much to make your marriage strong! I have seen a lot of grey rooms lately and I really like it. I think the accents will make the room!

P.S. It is ABOUT time you updated! :) love you!
